Little Nuggets-92:

Love is a great thing. It is not by chance that in all times and practically among all cultured peoples love in the general sense and the love of a man for his wife are both called love. If love is often cruel or destructive, the reasons lie not in love itself, but in the inequality between people.

(Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (1860-1904), Russian author, playwright. Complete Works and Letters in Thirty Volumes, Works, Notebook I, vol. 17, p. 17, "Nauka" (1980).)

Little Nuggets-90:

To love one person with a private love is poor and miserable: to love all is glorious.

(Thomas Traherne (1636-1674), British clergyman, poet, mystic. (First published 1908). "Fourth Century," no. 69, Centuries (written c. 1672).)

Christ, Christmas and Love

Jesus came to the world to teach us the path of love, the lesson of forgiveness. He is the supreme teacher of love and human brotherhood.

The message of Christmas is not only of peace but also of hope. It gives the message of love also. Christmas is the manifestation of God’s supreme love for mankind. Jesus Christ is love incarnate. Love is the best of God’s gifts to His people. The life of Jesus Christ is an example of His love for all mankind .
